Red Spalted Maple | Hand-Turned Wine Stopper

Rich red color, dramatic spalting and natural character make this one-of-a-kind wine stopper impossible to mistake for anything mass produced. It was hand-turned from red stabilized spalted maple and paired with polished chrome hardware.

Stabilizing strengthens the wood while preserving the spalting, grain and natural markings that make this piece distinctive. Deep red and warm rust tones are crossed by dark spalted lines, while the hand-turned profile gives the stopper its sculptural character.

The polished chrome stopper features flexible sealing rings designed to fit securely in the neck of a wine bottle, turning an everyday accessory into a small piece of functional art.

Turned, shaped, sanded, polished and assembled by hand in the Perfect Imperfections workshop.
